Weight: 95 g
Display: 262144 QVGA TFT Screen (1.93”)

Price Range: $279.95 to $329.97 The World’s Slimmest Phone The Ultra Edition 5.9 features a groundbreaking slim size at an amazingly slender 5.9mm, making it the world’s slimmest phone. Inside lies a bevy of powerful features including a 3.2 Megapixel Camera. Apart from the fact that SGH-U100 is the slimmest mobile phone in the world, there’s not much else that will catch your eye. On the contrary, the phone is big and wide in sizes and if you’re not too cautious when you carry it, you can easily crack it. Still, the phone has an amazingly slim aspect and will probably fit in any tight pocket.

The only problem will be its height and width, which were wrongly listed on the Internet. The actual sizes of the handset are 115 x 50 x 5.9 mm, but most sites listed the phone with 105.5 mm height which is totally incorrect. At these sizes the handset is surely light, weighing only 57 grams (battery included), which will probably make it almost imperceptible in your pocket. The only external buttons that you’ll notice are the dual volume keys on the left side and the camera key placed on the right side of the handset.

Right above the latter, under a plastic stripe, you’ll find an USB port that can also be used as a charge socket. Perhaps the slimness device didn’t allow Samsung to fit in a microSD slot card for memory expansion, but this is no music phone so don’t worry about it. The “huge” 3.2 Megapixel camera has been placed on the back of the phone and features self-portrait mirror capabilities. The keypad used is standard for all Samsung phones, but very flat. In fact, this may be a big problem for those that are frequently using SMS-texting. I don’t know if it’s a software problem or a technical one, but the middle key from the D-pad (Confirm button) is really a pain to use, especially if you have larger fingers. Backlighting is excellent and you’ll be able to use the keypad with ease in dark areas.

Big On Multimedia, Slim In Format

The SGH-X820 is just like you – it delivers top performance anywhere, any time. Work through your PowerPoint presentations using the document viewer. With the offline mode, you can even work. You can print out your files using wireless Bluetooth® printing or view them on screen using the TV-out cable. That way, not only will your figures look better – so will the photos you’ve taken with the integrated 2.0-megapixel camera. You can close your eyes and relax to your favourite tunes. The inbuilt MP3 player – which plays AAC, AAC+, e-AAC+ and WMA formats – will transform even seat 35 D into a box at the concert hall.

As the world’s thinnest phone, the Samsung SGH-X820 is an amazing device: It is as good at making calls and surfing the Web as it is at turning heads. It makes the Motorola SLVR L7 look like a brick, and puts other thin phones to shame with its 2-megapixel camera and elegant, fun interface. The super-slim profile means you must forgo a memory card slot, and the battery life is on the low side for a GSM phone. The coup de grace: It’s available only through independent retailers.

At first glance, the X820 appears to be slightly wide by proportion; the actual measurements are 113mm x 50mm x 6.9mm (4.45″ x 1.97″ x 0.27″). The design is minimalist, and the only part that stands out is the metal stripe around the earpiece and the flashy Anycall logo underneath. The whole body is completely black, which seems to be the Samsung color this year. Many of my female friends have commented how they would have wanted it in white or pink. The dark color might look too serious, but with the thinness and overall design, I think it can still slide elegantly into a purse. The phone edges are slightly curved, making the grip a comfortable one. The weight spreads evenly over the device, and the anti-slip finishing at the back allows the thin body to sit steadily on your palm.

Card slim with a deck of features!

Slim is no longer a concept for contemplation, a goal to go for, or an idea for consideration… It’s real and it’s here. Samsung gave your dream life with the ultra-slim super-satisfying SGH-P300. It’s not called the “card” because it’s funny… the P300 is no joke with credit card dimensions at 87.5×54.5×8.9mm and at 81.5g, it’s so light you hardly know it’s there. Take credit in the slim form of Samsung’s P300 cardphone.

Phones like the Samsung SGH-P300 get their appeal from their compact sizes and low weights. While we have seen similar looking “credit card” type phones in the past, none of them have really offered a complete spec sheet that could compete with other normal handsets of their time like the P300 can.
Calculator jokes aside, the P300 shows that Samsung can make handsets that are seriously small and thin - and a bit novel.

With its sleek metal fascia and integrated leather case, the new Samsung card phone seems unequivocally to be aimed at men. Not single men though, it takes small and determined fingers to remove the clever case/ extra battery and insert a SIM. The small and determined fingers of a motivated woman. A ‘phone that’s a modest 88mm x 54mm x 9mm certainly requires a certain daintiness of touch. It’s not all about nights in with the little woman however - The solid construction will bear the indignities of several stag nights, and the slightly odd keypad layout, with the zero off on the right hand side, will give valuable pause for thought to many a drunk dialler.

The biggest draw of the SGH-P300 certainly has to be its physical being. It measures only 88mm x 54mm x 9mm (3.5″ x 2.1″ x .35″) in size, and weighs in at 83g (2.9oz). That is a small, compact mobile phone. If you are willing to deal with increased size and weight, Samsung ships the P300 with a very slick leather case that includes its own battery, which boosts the phone’s battery life by about 50% - and looks good while doing so. The case is good for every day use, and can be quickly unclipped to give you the smaller package for that night out on the town. A very nice design.

The Soft Touch of Mobile Communication!

An innovative and convenient Touch UI combines the keypad and TFT display into one, turning the SGH-E890 into a super compact mobile communicator. Use handwriting input to convey exactly what you want. And enjoy a full range of multimedia features.

The E890’s touch screen interface was rather user friendly (not unlike the menus we’ve seen from many Samsung handsets); we were able to easily navigate through menus without encountering any problems. However, you are expected to use your fingertips to dial on the screen making smudges inevitable. Although, we were pleasantly surprised to find how easy it was to dial on the phone, as the virtual buttons were quite large and evenly spaced. The candy bar also includes a 1.3-megapixel camera, a music player, a speakerphone, microSD memory expansion and Bluetooth 2.0.

With the large screen, it should come as no surprise that the E890 is loaded with multimedia functions like 1.3 Megapixel camera with high-quality video recording and a music player that supports most formats. PictBridge enables you to print out pictures without a PC. And the option of USB 1.1 and Bluetooth™ means you have the choice of transferring your files with cable or without. We’ll even throw in for you free memo messages via Bluetooth™ to other Bluetooth™ users within your range. And just imagine listening to your favourite tunes while using the Pen Memo or playing touch screen games. Now, isn’t that music to your ears?
