Dynamic Innovation Hidden in Sleek Elegance

The Samsung E950 is an stunningly upgraded version of Samsung’s popular E900 released last year. In addition, the slider has a cutting-edge sub touch navigation panel called Dynamic Adaptive Control Pad where the input keys change according to the menu requirements.

The SGH-E950 is a powerful 3-megapixel camera phone equipped with an improved, unique touch navigation user interface, while the SGH-E840, with its minimalist and futuristic design, boasts a super slim frame at just 10.6mm and a glossy. mirror-like surface. The SGH-J600 comes with an affordable 1.3-megapixel camera, and comes in a variety of vivid colours. One of the common features available in all three phones is the Touch Sensitive Keypad. Unlike ordinary keypads, Touch Sensitive Keys respond to just a light sweep of the fingers, and the back-lit keys automatically illuminate in blue when you slide up the phone.

The phone itself has a 240 x 320 size screen and 262,000 colour display, with also copes well with bright sunlight. As far as the media side goes the handset offer MP3, A2DP, Video Record and an impressive 3.2 megapixel with night mode and an array of editorial options. The messaging formats are pretty much in line with the norm, with SMS, MMS and EMS catered for, although the phone also offers EDGE, Bluetooth, USB and GPRS connectivity. Unfortunately there is not a 3G service on this, perhaps one of the major disappointments.

The Samsung E950 measures 98 x 46 x 15 mm, which doesn’t make it the slimmest slider currently available, but in terms of size the Samsung E950 is pretty compact and even light. The mobile makes good use of metal and matt black plastic. We like the design and the construction itself seems pretty solid. Thanks to the touch-sensitive elements on the front panel, the surface is smooth and there are no keys sticking out. The touch-sensitive navigation display is inside a silver frame at the lower end. A slight recess above the display nests the earpiece.

Gold Glamour

Samsung’s SGH-E830 is a fashionable slim slide-up that is in a class of its own. The attractive gold tone shimmers with glamour and sophistication for mobility that looks as good as it functions.

The Samsung E830 is a GSM/GPRS/EDGE (900/1800/1900MHz) handset and has been outfitted with a 2.0” (176×220) TFT display. There is also the all important camera and this one has a resolution of 2 megpixels. Measuring 100 x 50.5 x 14.9 mm, the slider phone includes exclusive features like; uGo / uMenu / uTrack / uSearch. Users will also dig the fact that it supports SOS Message and has an Offline Mode too.

The Samsung SGH-570 is a smart phone with a very sensible design as there is no fancy keypad layout or senseless décor. The design of the phone has the thickness of 23.9mm. It has a 1.8 TFT LCD screen, which able to display 65,000 colors with the resolution of 176 × 220 pixels.

The volume is controlled by buttons on the left side while the press-and-hold action on the button on the right activates the camera. It seems there is no any trouble for the battery compartment to come off, as it takes a slip of a fingernail to slide the compartment open. The phone has a black strip on its cover that houses an OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) display that tells user the time and incoming call information. Beauty and Utility in One

A sleekly modular handset features a clean dual-sided bar form with superior 3.0 Megapixel camera functions and multi-format music player plus FM radio. Exquisitely realized, yet extraordinarily useable – beauty and utility in one.

E590 comes bundled with an extended set of accessories including a Bagpod that enables the handset to be fixed on almost any surface. The holder is designed similarly to a piece of plastic matter plugged into the handset via an interface slot. That’s one of the first attempts at bundling a camera phone with a tripod. By the way, the Ukrainian version of E590 isn’t bundled with this accessory resulting in a lower price.

The overall handset design is rather typical, being somewhat close to the D900 but in the candy bar form factor - an answer of sorts to the Sony Ericsson K790i. The model is based on the Suwon hardware platform (developed by Sysol research center) and is equipped with a 3.0 Mpix camera, making a difference between it and the recent U600. A fine bundling, a familiar set of features and an eye candy design multiplied by a clever marketing strategy can end up in a bestseller phone.

Samsung’s E590 design is the result of the cooperation between the Korean company and Jasper Morrison, a leading industrial designer. Through this partnership with Jasper Morrison, well known for his talents in various areas of industrial design, the E590 is designed to touch customers. While there is no resemblance with the slim U100 model, I can definitely say that this time Samsung worked hard on the height and width of the phone. The measures of the phone 94 x 42 x 13.5 mm make it one of the smallest phones on the market. So, it’s not about slimness after all. Moreover, with only 65 grams (including battery) weight, the handset is almost “imperceptible” in your pocket. The bar form factor decisively contributes to the exquisite design of the phone and recommends the phone to both sexes: white color for women and black color for men.
