The Fantastic Fifth
Samsung E730 handset has the best of MP3 functionality with an integrated MP3/AAC player and FM Radio for hours of musical enjoyment. Very compact and slim at 88 g, it has 1.3 Megapixel camera and 60 minutes of video recording capability.
Samsung’s clamshell phones are known for their attractive designs and strong build quality, and the E730 is certainly no exception. Its all-black cover keeps it relatively stain-free while the Silver Nano coating promises to protect the phone against germs. Its design which involves clean rounded edges and sleek styling should go down well with most people, from fashion-conscious users to business professionals. The glossy surface on the top cover, however, tends to attract smudges and fingerprints.
he SGH-E730 provides easy access to audio, open or closed with distinctive external music keys that accentuate the design and let you instantly play, rewind or fast forward your stored MP3 and AAC audio files or tune in to Stereo FM Radio at the touch of a button. Acting as a dedicated digital music player so you can control the sound without even flipping open your phone. MP3 and even voice recordings can be set as musical ringtones. The SGH-E730’s camcorder allows you to record in MPEG4 video formats. Record video while the built-in video light, microphone and voice soundtrack capabilities make it a true filmmaker.
The external OLED screen of the Samsung can only display 80 x 64 pixels. It does not display missed call alerts for more than a few seconds, meaning you have to open the phone to find out if anyone has called.

More Music. Sharper Pictures
With the SAMSUNG E720 mobile phone, you not only have a fully fledged MP3 player with intuitive controls at hand, but also a megapixel camera with a flash, Bluetooth and 88.5 MB of memory. The classic, timeless design of the SAMSUNG E720 encapsulates the sign of the times, but not at the expense of essential business functions.
One of the great plus points of this phone is that it plays music and provides controls to do so without flipping open the clamshell. Beneath the screen are three buttons that look just like the standard play/pause, forward and back buttons on an MP3 player.
When you snap megapixel photos, they need storage space on the phone, and music requires even more space than pictures. As a rule of thumb, one minute of music is one megabyte as an MP3 file, which means one song takes about 3-5MB of space. That’s why you need a quick and easy mechanism to copy music to your phone and there also has to be enough storage space for it. Our recommendation is to use memory cards for both tasks, but the Samsung SGH-E720 doesn’t have a memory card slot at all.
On the outside of the SGH-E720, Samsung has fitted a large 96 x 96 pixel OLED display that shows signal strength, battery life and the current time. During our testing, we found that if a call was missed, a small icon would flash up on the screen for a few seconds and then disappear, meaning there is no way to tell if a call has been missed unless the phone is opened. If a message is received however, an icon appears at the top of the external screen.

The Object Of Everyone’s Desire
Get hold of the ultimate in style and function in the Samsung E700 phone. With the E700, you become the fashion statement. And with its ability to capture 15 simultaneous shots, you’ll be able to show off all your moves.
The E700 sports a few departures from Samsung’s regular design scheme. Most dramatic is the new paint job. After lining up several models of anonymous silver clamshells, Samsung adds a dark navy band on the E700’s front panel, a simple touch that reinvigorates the overall look. The phone also loses the antenna that plagued most Samsungs, while dropping the protruding bits of the V200’s swiveling camera. Instead, a small, non-rotatable camera lens is located on the outside top flip of the mobile, just above the external 256-color OLED (organic light-emitting diode) display.
The most outstanding feature on the E700 would have to be the external 256 colour display capable of being used as a viewfinder for the VGA camera. Self portraits and group photos have never been easier! This display is quite large compared to other clam-shell handsets, having a 64 x 96 pixel resolution. When you are using it as a viewfinder because the display can only show 256 colours the subject may look quite strange, but the photo is captured as it would be using the camera any other way. When you open up the phone after taking photos you can review and save or trash the ones you like or don’t like!

Discover the fun factor
Access to all the cool features, good looks and clear connections is right at your fingertips with the SAMSUNG E640. Listen to tunes as you consider taking up photography, then view, print and share pics and files on the fly as you keep in touch. It’s ready for anything, are you?
Steel textured in grey and silver, the SGH-E640 exudes a robust, industrial elegance encased in a durable Intenna clamshell case. The 85.5×45.1x 23.5mm dimensions are surprisingly slight especially in light of its vast capabilities and, at 90g, the E640 keeps the load light enough to streamline your active mobile lifestyle.
The phone comes with two screens. The internal display, a vivid 176 x 220-pixel TFT panel that supports up 262,144 (18-bit) colors, works great for viewing videos and photos. As with most Samsung phones, we found the internal screen brilliant and sharp with good horizontal and vertical viewing angles as well as an acceptable range of adjustable brightness settings.
To maintain a streamline look-and-feel, the company has kept the design of the E640 as clutter-free as possible, with minimal buttons visible on the outside and all sockets (including the headset and charging connectors) neatly concealed with flushed plastic plugs. Adding to the smooth contours of the phone is the use of an internal antenna which ensures you don’t have to worry about breaking any antenna when putting the phone in the pocket.

You Hear Only The Voice
Gorge new frontiers with the Samsung E630… the ultra-slim slide-up camera phone. Lightweight and lean at 82 g, this 85 x 43 x 22 mm mobile sensation sets the standards in mobile performance with its smooth moves and advanced capabilities.
The phone has a good selection of ringtones - 64 polyphonic tones, which are now a bit outdated as most phones are now ‘real’ and MP3 tones. The E630 has voice clarity function, plus advanced noise cancellation on the built in speakerphone. I absolutely love this feature - you know what’s it like you are out in a busy pub/club and you phone goes and you can’t hear a thing that is being said. Well this feature means that you don’t have to stand there like an idiot shouting into your phone or making the caller deaf in the process.
E630 design resembles that of D500. Geometric solution of the new model also features more pronounced edges and corners, which help to keep the model within the unisex style and don’t allow it to become too feminine, as the small slider attracts women “by default”. The phone looks very nice, it’s small but well-knit, assembled tightly, with very thin gaps between its components. The case is certainly made of high quality plastic, rather hard to avoid creaks, deformations, and backlashes. Finishing is also up to the mark. The E630, like the other latest Samsung models, actively uses glossy black. Details with different finishing and texture brighten up the design, save it from becoming boring, and at the same time are in perfect harmony with each other.
The SGH-E630 contains design and feature elements from two of its predecessors, the Samsung SGH-E600 and the SGH-E800. At dimensions of 85 x 43 x 22mm and weighing 82g, this new model adopts a slider design similar to the E800. Likewise, a 65K-color TFT LCD adorns this model. The noise suppression technology, if as effective, helps in sensing ambient sound levels and adjusting the handset volume accordingly for clearer conversations even in loud environments. Thankfully, the E630 chooses to follow in the footsteps of the E600 in offering triband capability.
