5 Megapixel Slim Slider

Super slim 5 Megapixel camera slider design with advanced multimedia features, enhanced applications and imaging solutions so sharp yet simple - you can’t get more cutting edge than this. Revel in mobile imaging at its very best, making your handset even more indispensable. A camera and phone in one.

For your money you get a very clear and bright 2.2-inch QVGA screen, an FM radio, a music player, an external hot swappable microSD card slot complete with a 1GB card, Stereo Bluetooth, 2.0 USB and re-sized web browsing thanks to some new software from the Koreans.
All this is cased in a shell very similar to the now popular U600 model launched earlier in the year, although Samsung has lost the touch sensitive controls (and we think for the better)

The Samsung G600 is a so-called slider mobile with extensive features, including a 5 Megapixel digital camera. A high-megapixel camera in a mobile phone is no unknown territory for Samsung. On the CeBIT in Hannover last year, they already presented the Samsung SCH-B600, a mobile phone with 10 Megapixels and 3x optical zoom. Unfortunately, the B600 will not be available in Europe, but hopefully Samsung have used their experience in the high Megapixel segment to make the Samsung G600 a success.

While the design of this handset is not intended to be overly eye-catching, it is very ergonomic. Overall the phone is a neat fit in the hand and pocket at 102mm tall, 47.8mm wide, 14.9 mm thick and 105g. The slider has a good spring-loaded mechanism which means opening and closing the phone to get to number pad and the camera lens - protected behind the slider on the back of the casing - is no problem at all. The front buttons are either large, as in the case of the Call and End buttons, or very well spaced, as in the case of the two soft-menu buttons, so they are easy to find and hit without accidentally pressing a button you don’t want.
