Impressively Yours to Touch

One grip of the Samsung J600 and you’ll realize you’re in good hands. Simple and direct, its compact dimensions are form-fitting to your palm, the smooth sliding action satisfies. Intense hues enhance the glazed surface design with chrome metal trim for a high-impact look. Touch sensitive keys are instantly back-lit, adding to a cool, refined look.

In terms of multimedia functionality, the J600 comes equipped with a modest 1.3 megapixel digital camera that is also video capable. A MP3/WMA/AAC/AAC+ capable music player is also on-board, as is an FM radio. Picture, video, and music files can be stored in the device’s internal 20MB of storage space or on an optional microSD memory card. Cards of up to 2GB in capacity are supported.

Connectivity options beyond the aforementioned EDGE (and GPRS) support include Bluetooth 1.2 wireless and relatively slow USB 1.1 cable connections. Apart from a hands-free speakerphone, there is little else of note to be found in the J600.

Getting home and opening the box was so exciting! The power button is on the left hand side along with the camera button. You do need to charge the phone beforehand but I left it on overnight and checked it in the morning. It was completely charged and ready to use. The phone slides so effortlessly and smoothly and the buttons are easy to use. Upon accessing the menu, you can do a wide variety of things including text messaging, change the phone settings, access your files and access the internet.
