The True Color Phone

Artistic color and sound like you have never experienced before. The intensive experience is created with a sophisticated and prestigious design. It makes an unforgettable impression. It’s the best in world.

The menu system on the T400 is essentially the same as the T100. Browsing the menus is straightforward. It is divided into tabs where you press the left/right softkeys to switch between tags and up/down to select different menu items. It is also possible to press the number of the tab you want to view to access it directly. The menu can be customised in a number of ways. Users have a selection of “moving” wallpapers, which are basically GIF animations. One really useful thing I found was the ability to make the calender your wallpaper - including all notes. Different colored themes for the menu are also available, as well as “cute” or “traditional” styles of menu animations. I found that the menu selections were not always consistent. For example, inside a game menu (it happened in all games) to make a selection you would have to press the “i” key, whereas in the rest of the phone to select things you press the left softkey.

The quality connection of this phone is typical to all phones from Samsung, there are no changes. Samsung T400 is a dual band phone with a good sound in loudspeaker. The vibrating alert is average, the volume of 40-tones polyphonic ringing tones is perfect. All the sounds are pure, it is the first phone on the market, which has flawless picture and rings. Here you can listen to some of the ringing tones (mp3, 600 Kb). The features of the phone are rather simple.

On the side of the phone is the handsfree port, which is covered by an attached piece of rubber. At the bottom of the phone is the battery/data port, which also has a small rubber covering, but one that is not attached. It’s debatable what the designers at Samsung were trying to achieve when they attached one of the rubber pieces but not the other.
